GPP Offers Condolences The following press release was distributed by the Genuine People’s Platform: Obama said of Mandela, that there is an X factor in people we choose to follow. And indeed, what an X factor did our President Michael Chilufya Sata have. An astute politician, with such tenacity, that within ten years, he took his political party the Patriotic Front in to Government. The GPP general membership and its National Governing Council joins ZAMBIANS across the nation in mourning the loss of yet another sitting President. We call upon each citizen to be calm during this trying period so that our departed President is mourned with dignity and honour. We extend our sincere condolences to the First Lady Dr. Christine Kaseba Sata, the whole Sata family, the Government of the Republic of Zambia and to all members of the PF Party. President Michael Chilufya Sata, may your soul rest in eternal peace. In recongnition of the national mourning period, the GPP has postponed its party launch which was to take place on Thursday November 13, 2014. A new date shall be announced soon once the period of mourning is concluded. The GPP proudly stands for unity, smaller government, progressive issue based politics and more economic freedom for all Zambians as we enter a new Jubilee season.
