GRADUATION - Accredited Programme in Team Management and Performance Coaching - Garvaghy Wednesday 15th October Just a quick email this morning to thank everyone for their input prior to and at last nights Graduation event. It wasnt a nice night to be out on the roads especially Barry who traveled with his wife from Clare. Thanks to those who passed on their apologies and couldnt make it on the night. It was great to see the students (coaches and managers) receive their hard earnedawards. Four hundred hours coaching activity (evidenced to receive the reward) for each of the 35 coaches is 14,000 volunteer hours put into coaching in that room alone by the recipients. It is also nice to see their partners there, as the time spent away from home is very significant when out coaching. A very significant contribution by coach and partner to our Association. The commitment of staff and some of our volunteers and the recognition of a high quality of delivery was evident from the testimonies from the two coaches. Both spoke so well to the audience. What is more warming is the fact that they were able to take the content and apply it and achieve some success with their clubs. Congratulations to all that have delivered on the three programmes and to the coaches who engaged fully with the programme. A particular thanks to Ashelene for organising the event, to Roger for the administration (and delivery) around the programmes, to our Chairman Gerry who (still recovering from an injury and just off the plane) made it to Garvaghy to make the presentations and say a few words. To Jimmy who stepped into deliver when I lost my voice. Also thanks to RHDOs, Ryan Mellon, Kevin McGuigan, Peter Doherty and Frank Dawson for their contribution to the delivery (I hope no one is left out). Thanks to the Games Managers who helped promote the programmes. A special thanks to Michael Murphy who attended on the night and who ran a course specifically for Donegal in the Letterkenny Institute of Technology with over 25 coaches. Finally thanks also to the Tyrone GAA Center staff and Michael McGoldrick our Committee Secretary as well as the staff of Kellys for supplying the venue and the food. We look forward to seeing the photos on face book and the Ulster GAA web site when available.
