GREAT AMERICAN BACKYARD CAMP-OUT WEEKEND AT THE INN AT LOCKE HOUSE Your June 27-29 weekend stay at the Inn at Locke House will celebrate its designation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. The celebration will offer inn guests time to experience the inn gardens and grounds at sunset while eating a tasty grilled supper and listening to local naturalist David Yee on encouraging “Backyard Birding”. Once the stars are out, it will be s’mores (plus other desserts) time while viewing the inspiring film “Ride the Divide”. To allow time for the optional special tours, Saturday and Sunday breakfasts will be served at 7:30 am. Main House package $349 (for two); Water Tower package $519 (for two). Early bird booking before June 1st earns $10 off the package plus a complimentary bottle of wine! Weekend optional add on private tours/activities are: Saturday – Bill Beckett will be your guide as you take a kayaking wildlife tour of the Mokelumne River ($49 per person includes bag lunch to enjoy at end of tour); and Sunday -Guided Birding Tour of two area habitats ($29 per person includes bag lunch to enjoy at end of tour). Reservations requested by June 15 to guarantee space. Come early enough on Friday and take the self-guided nature trail at Lodi Lake. Bring your bicycles to take the “secret” 18 mile route for riding through the area.
