*** GREAT SAFER *** RESERVE CLYDE ONLINE TONIGHT *** A volunteer writes: Sweet, sensitive Clyde is a heartbreaker and though hes all grown up and already a husband to his girl Bonnie (A1020187) who he came in with he reminds me very much of a frightened child. So shut down that he rarely raises his eyes to meet mine, so scared that an elevator ride sets his body trembling, Clyde is like a ghost haunting his own life. Hes trying as best he can to adapt to the stark realities of this new situation but it is slow-going, his tail remains tucked during most of our time together, he doesnt react or interact much with anything and yet...there are glimmers of hope amid the rubble of his devastated heart. After hes done circling the yard and taking care of all his business (good boy!) Clyde returns to my side where he sits, flanks lightly shivering, as I pet his sleek fur and whisper sweet nothings in his big, pointy ears. Is this human contact a comfort to him? Its hard to tell, but whats very clear is that Clyde loves to get out and explore and the minute we hit the street his tail springs up with eager enthusiasm for all the sights waiting to be seen and the smells as yet unsniffed. Hes a good walker on leash and as youd expect from a family man, he likes other dogs and greets them politely as they pass by. It seems that a fine gentleman of a dog is hiding behind the sad, scared guy weve barely begun to know. This little boy is lost and is still hoping to find a road home, could you be the one to guide him? Clyde runs out of time at noon tomorrow. https://facebook/Urgentdeathrowdogs/photos/a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553/907321269280753/?type=3&theater
