GROUP FITNESS UPDATE DISCOVERY DAY..... On Saturday 4th October we are having our next Discovery Day, which is a perfect opportunity for you to TRY IT ! 9.00am Body Pump - Annie/Karen 10.00am – 12.00pm - Cycling Special - High end endurance class with a twist ! 10.00am – 11.00am - Hula Hoop Fun - Karen 10.10am – 11.10am - Super Circuits - Rupert 11.15am - 12.10pm - Chart Hit Zumba - Nikki WHATS IT ALL ABOUT.... We asked Marion about YOGA Thursdays @ 12pm and Sundays @ 9am. This class is a flowing Vinyasa class incorporating a wide mixture of Hatha Yoga poses. Yoga is a wonderful science that can be used to help bring about positive change in our bodies and in our minds increasing more flexibility, together with the breath. We use Asanas for toning, visualisation and breath control as well as for relaxation. PILATES - Tuesdays @ 10:30am, Wednesdays @ 7pm, Fridays @ 1pm. Pilates is a mainly mat based class, usually starting with a standing warm up. There are 26 traditional mat based Pilates exercises that Joseph Pilates created but this class includes many variations of these exercises and we enhance them by using equipment, to access the use of a wider range of muscles. Pilates is like working in slow motion to gain more control and knowledge of the body together with the breath. It focuses on quality rather than quantity and aims to tone and lengthen muscles helping to gain more strength in The Power House or Core Centre of the body. WAYS TO USE COFFEE FOR BETTER EXERCISE PERFORMANCE Research shows that coffee can be used to reduce muscle soreness and encourages faster recovery.
