Galway Rural Development Training Courses – October/November 2013 Should I Start a Business? A Free One-Day Workshop Are you unemployed/underemployed, considering setting up your own business? This one day course will help you to • Look at your personal skills and motivation • Look at your business skills • Evaluate your different career options • Work through a checklist of business start-up tasks • Set out an action plan to progress your chosen option Date: Tuesday 15th October 2013 Venue: Claregalway Hotel. Participants should be resident in the Gaeltacht area of East Co. Galway, i.e. Claregalway, Carnmore, Carrowbrowne, Annaghdown, Lackaghbeg, Ballintemple, Castlegar, Menlough Occupational 1st Aid for Youth Leaders – FETAC Level 5 3 Day Course The course will help participants to; • Diagnose and treat injuries or illness, • Maintain care and comfort of the casualty • Learn how to perform resuscitation and use a defibrillator • Learn how to administer a variety of emergency care treatments Duration: 3 Full day workshops Date: Saturday 9th November, Saturday 16th November & Saturday 23rd November Venue: Irish Centre of Security Excellence, 1, Flood Street, Galway This comprehensive 3 day course is directed at resident in the Gaeltacht area of East Co. Galway, Claregalway, Carnmore, Carrowbrowne, Annaghdown, Lackaghbeg, Ballintemple, Castlegar, Menlough, who are working/volunteering with youth groups or young people. The course will help you to • Better plan and manage your time • Be comfortable with learning and studying • Have greater confidence in your academic ability to take on new education and learning challenges This course is targeted at people who are unemployed/underemployed and resident in County Galway East of the Corrib.
