Garbage Collection Schedule 2015 The City of Corner Brook Garbage Collection Schedule has been delayed at the publisher and should be sent out in about 3 weeks. In the meantime the collection schedule has been posted on the city website. Please remember that we do collect and recycle your Christmas trees. Simply remove all decorations and put your tree at the curb with your regular garbage in garbage day. Christmas tree collection takes place this coming week January 5- January 10. Unfortunately for those people who have collection Day 4 (Maple Valley, Townsite and Mt. Bernard) your trees will be collected on Monday January 5 and for Day 5 (Humbermouth, Humber Heights and Riverside Drive) the Christmas trees will be collected on Tuesday, January 6 which is Old Christmas Day. We apologize for the inconvenience as we realize that some people in these areas may keep their tree up until January 6 and we have asked staff to ensure that in future years the Christmas tree collection takes place the week after Old Christmas Day. Finally, please remember that the contractor picks up the trees separately from the regular garbage and recycling - so you may see your tree left at the curb after the regular garbage has been picked up until the contractor comes back for it. All the Christmas trees collected will be placed on the wood pile at the Wild Cove landfill to be chipped and reused.
