Gardaí investigating a shooting incident at Glasnevin Avenue, Dublin 9 at 8.15 am on 26th August 2013 have arrested a male 31yrs in Dublin this evening the 28th August 2013 in connection with the shooting. He is being detained at Ballymun Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended. Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident at Glasnevin Avenue, Dublin 9 at 8.15 am on 26th August 2013. Gardaí responding discovered a man in his 60s with stomach injuries. This man has been taken to the Mater hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. A short distance away at Hillcrest Park Gardai found a second male in his 30s with gunshot injuries to his leg, this man was taken to Beaumont Hospital. A shotgun has been located close to the scene. Gardaí have sealed off the area for a technical examination and are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Ballymun Garda station on 01 666 4400.
