Garden Tip Tuesday! May is the month to both inspect and treat for lace bugs on azaleas and rhododendrons. Lace bugs can cause serious damage. The undersides of the leaves will be very dirty from fecal spotting, and repeat exposure can cause the leaves to appear white. Organic sprays such as Neem, Spinosad, insecticide soap or horticultural oil should be applied this month. Beneficial insects like lady bugs could also be applied. Happy gardening.
