Gary Dale Costner Cosmo, 50, of Guymon died Thursday evening, June 5, 2014, at his home. The son of Glenn Vernon and Joan (Clifton) Costner, he was born June 7, 1963 in Guymon. Gary attended school in Guymon, OPSU in Goodwell, and received his medical technician certification at the Colorado Medical School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Gary excelled in track, enjoyed hunting, fishing, hamm radio, participating in rodeo, and was an outstanding horse trainer. He is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Costner, and grandparents, Henry and Ella Costner and Dale and Ethel Clifton. Survivors include his mother, Joan Costner of Guymon, five children: daughter, Brandy (Costner) and husband, Caleb Born of Guymon, son, Andrew Burch of Woodward, daughter, Jordan Burch of Elk City, Oklahoma, and daughter, Kiley Costner of Crane, Missouri. Survivors also include two brothers, Vernon Costner of Guymon, and David Costner and wife Donna of Lafayette, Colorado, two sisters, Hazel Clark of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Rosie Schuster of Mangum, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Matthew Costner, and Joshua Born, nieces and nephews, Max Costner of Tacoma, Washington, Veronica Martinez of Guymon, Justin Costner of Guymon, Beth Costner of Denver, Colorado, and Ryan Costner of Boulder, Colorado, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Panhandle Bible Center with Brother Mike McDowell and Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. The family request memorials be given to help with final expenses. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
