Its funny. There are so many girls who at 7,8 or 9 - were dubbed the athletic studs in our small softball community, who now at 12, 13 and 14 - dont even play anymore. Some gave it up for golf, or soccer, dance or other passions. Some burnt out. Some moved on. Many never look back. One or two years in the life of a child can change things. Immensely. The best thing a parent can do is provide the opportunities. The many opportunities that allow our daughters to find their niche. And to refrain from DEFINING them too you. Thoughts?
