Gary & Leroy update- The birds are great. They are healthy, happy & spoiled. They spend much of the day chirping loudly at each other, only to be completely silent and still if we come within 4 feet of their cages. Im pretty sure they think theyre invisible. Taking picture or video of them is very difficult, because they like to be left alone. Messing around in their cages too much makes them anxious, and we dont want that. Here are the best pictures I could get today. Youll notice Garys beak is black. This change of beak color happens only on the male English Sparrow, and it changes back in the spring. Leroys colors are very dull now, to camouflage her as much as possible if she were in the wild. Leroy is much more skittish than Gary. All in all, theyre loved and well.
