Gear review time. Some of you are familiar with the an issue that is unique to our roof rack set up. That aside, lets take a look at what is going good with the Front Runner Outfitters roof rack system, which in reality is just about everything. Traveling long distances with the family I have learned that what we left the house with is NOT what we will be returning with. It is for that reason that I love having a rack that allows me to adjust attachment points, accessories, and load with no more tools than Allen Key. I cant tell you how many times on the last trip were we adjusted the roof configuration for an extra bag, fire wood, or kids treasure. The overall construction is stout to say the least. I am a larger fellow and I can stand on the rack while loading with no issues at all. Carrying 450-550lbs on our roof over thousands of miles proved to be no issue. I will point out to anyone looking to purchase one for their FJ, should stick to the standard length rack. The other great thing going for the Front Runner system are the accessories. They have an attachment for everything. So if you are headed out and like to be organized this is definitely the rack for you.
