Geek Alert: [One Percent.] Last year the cost of medical care in the USA rose by only 1%; the lowest rise since the early 1960’s, 50 years ago. The early effects of ObamaCare are becoming reality now. Health insurance companies are taking less profit because it is now limited by law. Cost savings are realized by using more prevention and less reaction to medical crisis. With more people being insured, less is wasted by forcing people into Emergency Rooms for a common cold instead of doctor’s offices. Waste is being found and cut out. It is still early; the real roll-out is October 1st. But the savings are already being made, and it has the Republican Bankers, who always hated any law benefiting people, worried. This idea that government can do something better than the free market might just catch on.
