Gen 22:1-19. God test Abraham. God told Abraham to offer the only son that was bore to him at very old age and the only son that supposed to inherit Abrahams wealth as a sacrifice. Thought: if Abraham were to inform friends or wife about Gods request, dont you think people will say that must be a wicked God and Abraham wouldve doubted if it were Gods voice? Also, why couldnt Isaac run away or scream for help when Abraham was tying him for sacrifice? Isaac simply allowed his father. Why did God make Abraham to travel for three days to the place of sacrifice; why couldnt God let Abraham use his yard or close distance for the sacrifice? I guess so that Abraham could change his mind on the journey because he must have been battling with the thought of offering his only son as a sacrifice. Lesson: God will test us with the most valuable thing(s) in our lives to know if we hold that thing above Him. And, God will give us possibility of changing our minds in obeying Him. Never share with anyone, when God requests obedience from you, simply obey. Know that every situation good or bad is a test of time and you must strive to do Gods will. Shalom...
