Some focus is on (but not limited to) Robert Seeley, his wife Mary Mason, and their sons Nathaniel and Obadiah. Robert (1602-1667) was the son of Grace Prett and William Seeley of Huntingdon, England. Robert became captain of the Winthrop Fleet. He immigrated to America in 1630, settling first in Watertown, Massachusetts, and then in New Haven, Connecticut. Other ancestors who may or may not be related to Robert include August Ziely of Holland, and William Seelig of Germany. Surnames were Anglicized to Seeley after they came to America.
