General construction update from Salem State University: The next meeting of the Salem State University Neighborhood Advisory Committee is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the Sullivan Training Room (room 106) of the Enterprise Center located on Central Campus at 121 Loring Avenue. CONSTRUCTION UPDATES Off-Hour Work There is no off-hour work scheduled at this time. Viking Hall The contractor will continue with steel erection throughout the summer. Concrete placements will begin in the coming weeks. Each placement is expected to take 18-20 trucks. The building will begin to be enclosed in September. Canal Street Parking Lot Demolition of the buildings is complete. The contractor will begin final grading and paving for the parking lot after the remaining debris is removed from the site.
