Generally Air moves from the high pressure region to low pressure region i.e. due to pressure gradient. When air moves from high pressure region to low pressure region in horizontal direction, it is called as the WIND. When air moves from high pressure region to low pressure region in vertical direction, it is called as the AIR CURRENT.
