Genesis 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. INTERPRETER: The reason she was called woman was not because she was female, but because she was taken out of man: • She became a woman because she was taken out of man by God; • She became a wife because she was returned back or joined to a man by God; • She became a mother because a man would come through her, physically or spiritually; • She became a female because she was made a female by God (Matthew 19:4). Where she was taken from, was not where she was made: She was taken from the Man in deep sleep, but she was made and developed by God in a hidden place. The man neither saw her in the making process nor had knowledge of her during her make-up period. Therefore, it was in the day that God presented her to the man that she was unveiled to the man. The man knew all her secret parts, flesh and bone, during the marriage, not before the marriage. The day the man saw the nakedness of the woman was the day he married her. VISION: If it was only because she was taken out of man, she would have remained a woman to the man: but she became his wife because she became one body with the man. 1. Bone of my bones made her a woman, for it was only a bone (rib) that God took from the man, and no flesh was taken alongside with his bone; 2. Flesh of my flesh made her a wife or one body with the man, for no flesh was taken from the man previously to form the woman, rather it was only bone and God closed up the remaining flesh. Therefore, in marriage, a woman becomes bone of her man’s bones and flesh of her man’s flesh; not because she was taken out from that particular man, but because the marriage has made her a member of his bones and flesh. A man may never have any physical contact or connection with a woman before, but when he marries her, she becomes one body with the man – bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh. This is mystery in Marriage, and this is how the Church of Christ Jesus, has become the Body of Christ: The Church is the members of the bones, flesh and body of Christ not because the Church was taken out of Christ, but because She is married to Christ (Ephesians 5:30, 28-32). Therefore, any man who loves his own wife loves his own body and himself. INTERPRETER: It took only a single bone of the man to form the woman, but it took all the bones and flesh of the man to form his wife: hence, the two are one body. Therefore, the man’s body belongs to his wife and the wife’s body belongs to her husband (1 Corinthians 7:3-4): The body of the man is his wife, but the head of the woman is her husband (1 Corinthians 11:3). The man was not created for the woman, but the woman was the one created for the man – she was made because God wanted to use her to satisfy a man (1 Corinthians 11:8-9). However, the two are one body in Marriage.
