Gentle Friends, Im working on a magazine assignment that has to do with living alone in middle age. Its tricky because the editors are looking for the downside of this (the anxiety, the loneliness, the sadness), which can be hard to talk about. (Too, many of the 50-plus people I know seem to quite enjoy living alone--and those of us who live with and care for people actually fantasize about moving away from the clutter!) If you live alone and arent delighted about it (regrets? habits? fears?), Id love to do a short interview with you. . .
