Gentle reminders. God is so patient with me. I seem so quick to get distracted by this world and God reminds me, time and time again, that it is by HIS power Wyatt is healed, and none other. I had a few tough days recently. Today, God, full of grace, showed me more once again. It was nice to see Wyatt look at me after I asked him to, to watch the pages of the book I was reading him, and even stick out his tongue when I asked him to, I only got him to do this one once, but a friend of mine who is a speech therapist showed me some techniques and they seemed to really work at getting him to move his tongue purposefully. His tone continues to go down slowly. Today I had more confirmation about the flinching and being able to hear well and react appropriately. The kids were popping plastic air filled bags from a box we received, every time he would flinch at the noise. Then Ford totally by accident screamed at Wyatt....it was so sad for Ford because he was being so sweet to Wyatt and rubbing his hair, but it was getting in Wyatts eyes and i said bubby, you are annoying your brother, go ahead and yell at him, and before i could say yell at him Wyatt, Ford was the one to yell. Wyatt startled and jumped back and then about 5-7 seconds past and Wyatt yelled right back at Ford. We all laughed when Wyatt yelled, because he was being his old self, not taking anything from his big brothers. Ford being so sweet was already tearing up and feeling bad for yelling when he thought he was just doing what I asked. Wyatt really has the best siblings ever. They love him so much. So I know I ask for lots of different prayer requests often but this time I want to focus on one, please ask God to help Wyatt move his lips, and jaw at will and need. For his mouth to function the way God designed it to which lines up with the Word of God, in Jesus name. He has been able to open and close his mouth, but needs to do so often, and this will help him not mouth breath which will REALLY help so much. His body will be so much more calm when he starts to do this. So could all my warriors for wyatt please lift that prayer up unanimously? Thank you all! A few more pieces of joy from Wyatts sleep....he now, when sleeping, moves his entire arms, shifted his whole upper body to the side, babbles, laughs, smiles, and swallows and then closes his mouth on his own..... more and more seems to come out at night. oh and during the day he seems to tighten his core muscles more and more in response to tickling, he use to stay soft when i would tickle him, but now he will tighten where i tickle, which is normal response. Keep praying!
