George - Jock - Scott 1936 - 2010 Yesterday was my dear friend Jocks Birthday - Few people have had as big an impact on my life as he did - on many a level I knew I could trust him without reservation, question or consequence - He was fiercely protective of me - although less than sympathetic to my follies - We shared a great love of movies - old queen movies to be exact. Jock had lived film his entire life - working for Empire films and then SterKinekor - before retiring to the Mother City and opening a video shop - Tamboerskloof Video - an institution for its selection and in no small part to him ! One of his most beloved films was Gigi - and this scene especially - we thought nothing of it to phone each other and recite the lines and then put the phone down because we had nothing new to say ! That we had the friendship we did for twenty years - was a great gift - one I am very grateful for I miss the old bag of bones terribly xXx
