Louisa Matilda Holland married Thomas James George Graham Dawson and had Ralph Holland Dawson, my grandfather. Catherine Cutter was a descendant of the famous Samuel Cutter and Elizabeth Leatherhead, both from New-Castle-Upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England. This famous Samuel Cutter is an ancestor to George W. Bush, 43rd U.S. President, George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States, the infamous Prescott Bush, and Roger Sherman who was the only person to sign all four great state papers of the U.S.: the Continental Association, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution. George Holland’s Nephew was Edward James Gibson Holland, who received the Victoria Cross in The Second Boer War.
