George is buying lots of stuff. He’s buying radio spots, TV ads, and campaign consultants. Most recently Demos bought a Republican operative, Jake Menges, who has strong ties to Rudy Giuliani. Demos’ other highly paid advisor, Rob Cole, worked for NYS Governor George Pataki. Not coincidentally, Pataki and Giuliani are about the only GOPers anywhere that have endorsed their pals’ client. His campaign funding comes virtually entirely from himself and Democratic donors in California. Demos’ sudden wealth came through marriage. His father-in-law has made tons of money.
