German engineering my ass lol ! For the whole one screw that is needed to be removed you must first remove 6 others and in doing so remove the glove box. What is this for you ask the answer is simple to remove/ install the blower motor (for the heating and a/c of the car) you have to remove a plastic vent tube if you dont you are about 99% guaranteed to explode the squirrel cage putting the motor in or taking it out trust me. So instead of having this tube attached via clip, latch, or click they have one screw that is in a place that unless you have magical tools cannot access unless the glove box comes out first. Now keep in mind the job was a total of about half an hour tear down to testing so its not a huge deal time wise. It is however if you are like me a huge deal because it means removing parts you should not need to causing things to be shifted and we all know nothing ever goes back just as it was. So fooey to VW on this one. For making a simple fix harder as well as the resistor blowing in under three years!
