Germany Hiring 500 Nurses Manila Bulletin – Sat, Jun 22, 2013 Email Print Manila, Philippines --- The German Embassy announced yesterday that the German Federal Employment Agency (BA/ZAV) is now ready to hire 500 Filipino nurses as part of the agreement on "Triple Win Migration" with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). "The recruits will first work as assistant nurses in hospitals; after recognition of the foreign qualification work, they will be absorbed as qualified nurses," the Embassy said in a statement. Details from the Recruitment Specification Form (RSF) sent by BA/ZAV to the concerned government agencies stated that a total of 500 nursing staff will be hired by the Federal Republic of Germany until the end of 2014. The starting monthly salary for the recruits will be €1,900 (gross)-or P110,352 when converted to local currency-"until recognition as a qualified nurse" when their pay would be presumably adjusted. "All interested applicants must submit the requirements only to the POEA on or before 30 June 2013," the Embassy said. It further stated that applicants must be Filipino citizens and permanent residents of the Philippines, with the following requirements: 1.) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (four years professional education, B.S.N.) 2.) An active Philippine Nursing License; 3.) At least two years professional experience as nurse in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and care institutions, and 4.) Knowledge of German language (minimum level B1) or willing to undergo a six-month language training in the Philippines. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
