Germany sponsored musical concert mere wastage of time & money: Jamaat Srinagar: Jamaat Islami has categorically rejected the musical concert of Zubin Mehta scheduled on Saturday. In a statement spokesperson of JeI said, "Zubin Mehta’s music show is of no utility to the Kashmiri’s but harmful in all respects. It has neither any relevance to the Islamic culture nor coinciding with the local ethos. It will simply promote waywardness among the youth and add to the deviations of those people who despite being so called Muslims, least bother for human or religious values." "To organize such useless programs amounts to mere wastage of precious time and money. What Kashmiris are going to yield out of these silly concerts when they are facing the worst type of human rights violations, thousands of innocent Kashmiris have so far been butchered for demanding their birth right, thousands disappeared during state custody and hundreds are languishing in different jails and torture centers for raising the genuine voice," he said. "Moreover, Zubin Mehta is residing in a country brought into existence illegally and immorally by forcibly usurping the land of Palestinians. The tyrant hands of the rulers and army of Israel always remain soaked in the blood of innocent Palestinians and so far they have killed thousands of them without any reason. Israel is the biggest and most merciless enemy of Islam and Muslims and always leads in opposing the establishment of Islamic rule in any Muslim country. Therefore, Zubin Mehta coming from this dreadful country cannot be without any hidden political agenda. To organize such concerts here, tantamount to rubbing the salt on the live wounds of Kashmiris and hurting their sentiments very badly," he added. He further said, "Jamaat-e-Islami J&K is duty bound to make the world community aware of the displeasure and hatred of Kashmiris against organizing this musical concert by the German embassy. Only a few irreligious lustful rulers, bureaucrats and capitalists show any interest in such absurd programs. Jamaat also expresses its deep concern and anguish over the reports of J&K Bank sponsoring this absurd event and thereby wasting the public money which the common people deposit for security with the bank and not for gaining the interest or misuse for sponsoring such harmful activities."
