Get ready for our first event of the year! Dr. Dan Siegel - world-renowned brain expert - will join the Parents Coalition for an exciting, groundbreaking talk on the teen brain. Lets face it. Teen brains dont get a lot of respect. We dismiss teens as impulsive, rash, hormone-crazed, emotional. But, in fact, their brains are really quite amazing works in progress ... designed for social connection, innovation and a passion for new ideas. Dr. Dan Siegel will educate us on the beauty and complexity of the teen brain. What you learn may help you better understand this unique stage in your teens life ... and make you a better parent, guardian, teacher, mentor. This talk is open -- and free -- to teens. We also encourage teachers and school administrators to join us. We request a contribution of $5 for attendees from PCBAHS member schools and $10 for others.
