Get the umbrellas handy for the end of this week! Perhaps some rain boots too? Looking at a wet-weather system for late Thursday into Thursday night continuing on into Friday. What are we looking at for threats? - Heavy rain potential across SE New England mainly east of the I-95 corridor. - Gusty SW winds ahead of the system up to 30 mph, locally higher, mainly along the S/SE-coastline. - Marginal threat of coastal flooding across the south-coast during high tide 7 to 8 pm Thursday night, that is if the strongest winds occur during this time frame. - And finally, as the system exits out, anticipate NW wind gusts up to 30 mph across the interior, and around 40 mph across the coastline and adjacent waters. Well have updates as we get closer to the system, but for now, just be aware and be prepared for cooler, wet end to the week.
