Get to know another defender, and another Philly guy to sign on with the Freedom: Get to Know… Bradley Davis, Defensive Back Basic Information: 6’2” 212 lbs. Football Career: • High School: John Bartram Annex/Philadelphia H.S. for Business & Technology • College: Lincoln University, graduated 2013 • Pro Career: Played for Southwest Falcons for five seasons, and one season each for the AllStarInc Panthers and Lehigh Valley Storm • Named as a Five-Time All-Star for the Falcons, All-Star for the Panthers The Interview: Q: How did you decide to play for the Freedom? BD: It wasnt really a hard decision. The Freedom was a team closer to home and I wanted my family to be able to come and see me play. Plus Ive played under Coach O’Hanlon and coach Kohler before, so once I found out they were part of the coaching staff I was pleased to have the opportunity once more because they are two of the most accomplished coaches I know. Q: Youve had a lot of success in the leagues youve played for. Is there a special reason youve been an all-star so many times, or is it just hard work? BD: I wouldnt call it a special reason. However, I could say Ive been average all my life and playing football has given me a chance to step outside of myself, push harder and do better things. My competitive edge pushes me to try harder to be better than the next and even if I am not seen my presence is known thats why I go by GHOST on the field. Q: Tell us about life outside of football. The fans want to know the player inside the helmet. BD: Like I was saying earlier, Im pretty average. I enjoy being with my family even though we bump heads at times. I love to eat and sleep, my two favorite things. I like to help people out when and if I can because everyones situation and background is different so if its something that I can do reasonably I dont see a problem with it. Q: Any goals--personal or for the team--heading into the season? BD: My only goals are to bring what I can to the table and play my game. Make plays as well as put my teammates in the position to make plays. Get better as a person and a football player and try not to disappoint. Just like you all have expectations for the team, I have them for myself. So with that being said the family bond and communication that were building as a team should take us over any hump and exceed expectations.
