Getting fit & ripped is a journey. A long-ass journey. And during this journey, its not uncommon to find imbalances when you look in the mirror ie. imbalanced chest, biceps, triceps, quads, etc... The thing I love about this sport is that it forces you to take an honest look at yourself, identify your mistakes and work on them. So, how does one work on muscle imbalances then? One effective way is through unilateral exercises. Barbell exercises like curls & benchpresses are bilateral exercises, which mean the movement utilizes two muscles at one go. Unilateral exercises are the opposite where you work one muscle at a time with the ultimate goal of making sure your left & right portions are symmetrical. The video below will show you exactly how.
