Getting ready to head home after attending the DVA Victoria Christmas function. The Minister for DVA gave a presentation to the throng of ESO and other dignitaries who attended. Lobbying is he key here with like agencies asking for or offering support. A note from the ESO Forum held at ANZAC House 10 Dec, I put a proposal forward for those who attended that the PYVWC be included and admitted to the Forum. Unfortunately we did not have a quorum, however, it was accepted that Carry On (Victoria) proposed the same motion which then ratify PYWC into the ESO Forum fold. To the Committee in PYVWC it will give and insight and an opportunity to move the issues forward for the the Peninsula. It is only two weeks to Christmas and I ask that we offer a thought and prayer to those who are currently deployed will not share this festive season with families and friends because of the operational commitments. I have spent Christmas away from my family and like many others who have shared this experience it can be a solemn time. These men and women who are on duty will be celebrated at my familys table this year and every year. If you know of someone who is alone for the day offer them the opportunity to share with you and yours. Lest We Forget
