#Ghana Politics...The Nana and Alan issue. Meeting some of the greatest minds and influential Ghanaians yesterday, brought many things to light for me especially on the issue of Nana and Alan butting heads as Presidential candidates. I had a great discourse with a very great mind; a mate of my elder brothers. I was for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and he was for Alan. I loved the contrast for it tugged at my political fortitude and tested my ability to make a strong case for Nana. Nana is the total package on every front but... But what? I humbly asked with very great concern... Mercy he said...Presidency is very strenuous on the body; Nana is up in years and that is my worry because I expect him to serve for 8years but can he physically make it, because the nation has some massive clean up to undergo. Well said I According to the worlds highest and most credible leadership experts, the best age to vie for a presidential leadership is from 70 years up for those who have served in various public sectors like Nana... Alan is my choice. reiterated he...I was very quiet and responded...So Alan outweighs Nana based on youthfulness...hmmm. But superiority of mind, experience and moral fortitude, plus a record of impeccable public service must crush the age issue because, it is very worthless in this situation. Well, he stuck to his choice and I stuck to mine. In conclusion I realized how Nanas age is obstructing even the wise; but one must be exposed to policy and the trappings of successful leadership at a very tender age, to see what a time-appropriate leadership treasure Nana is on all counts. Lets keep popularizing him by way of merit and experience, and never shy away from the age issue because to me, that is what crowns his qualification the most. Have a great coming week...Peace out!!!
