Gift of Life Australia has been contacted to urgently find blood stem cell donors for 2 Melbourne Jewish Leukaemia patients, a baby and a 46 year old lady. A special testing session will be held TOMORROW (Tuesday 8 October) from 4-7.30pm at the Caulfield Blood Donor Centre. The likelihood of finding an unrelated match is only 1 in 10 000, so the community is urged to rally to perform the mitzvah of Pikuach Nefesh particularly at this holy time. If you are healthy and 18-45 years old, please make an appointment to complete the Red Cross Medical Questionnaire and give a two teaspoon sample of blood to enrol onto the Registry.
