Gilgal.....Eucharisteo.....terms that God has brought to me many times over the past few months. He is trying to teach me something. Something life changing. Something that will set my soul free. And how I long for it to be set free. Gilgal....meaning circle. Full circle. It was the place the Israelites left stones from the Jordan river after they crossed on dry land. Memory stones. To remind them of the manna and the Presence and the fulfilled promise of God. Eucharisteo......Thanksgiving, grace, joy all in one term. Joy for all things. Joy IN all things. What a difficult thing to do.....to find joy in the toughest times of your life. Today is the mark of a day that God shows me how He and only He can bring me to my Gilgal....full circle....and show me how I can have Eucharisteo....thanksgiving, grace, joy...through it all. This day....this moment actually 17 years ago my mom met Jesus in Glory. This day 8 years ago, I welcomed my first born into this world....3 weeks early. Or was he right on time? Right on time to walk me into Gilgal? To redeem a day of sorrow and turn it into a day of expectant joy? As I sit in this moment and see the joy in my childs face reflecting on the great day weve had together....despite the rain at first threatening our time at the pool....I also reflect on how sad I am that mom isnt here to see this beautiful creature God has entrusted me with. Oh how she would love him. Oh how he would have loved her, too. They have the same knack for cracking jokes. The same love for laughter. The same quick wit. I am experiencing Eucharisteo at my Gilgal. Joy IN all things. Joy through all things. I miss you mom! Happy birthday sweet Laine. Thank you Lord for my gifts and for Gilgal.
