Ginger Hubka Doskeland challenged me to write 25 random facts about myself. This is lengthy but I had fun doing it. Here it is Ginger!! 1.Three of my most favorite things are cappuccino, vanilla ice cream, and champagne. Not necessarily in this order 2. I ran for his Fontana when I was 18 years old. Did not win, but it was a wonderful experience. 3. I love my house, and for me the light shines the brightest closest to home 4. I am a very good housekeeper and cant stand a mess in the house or other places 5. I was a contortionist when I was a young girl and I am still very limber, and can still touch my toe to my mouth. 6. I can recite the whole Jabberwocky, Lewis Carrolls poem from Allison Wonderland by heart. 7. I love to sit outside and spend most of my free time when I am home on one of my patios. 8. I made a confession at the age of four years old that when I grew up I would live in Palm Springs. And I pulled it off 9 I lived on an Indian reservation as a child and we were not Indians we were squatters. 10. My dad was a professional boxer and boxed for the title of the Bantam weight champion of the world 11. I started a small shoe store when I was 31 years old, I never worked for anybody else before, nor did I have any training, and I ran it for 38 years. The statistics say that only 7% of small businesses make it for 10 years so I was a statistic. Proud!! 12. My baby brother is in the rock n roll hall of fame 13. I headed up a womens ministry called women of noble character for 13 years 14. I had a dress shop for eight years at one time and was one of the developers of El Paseo, which is the rodeo drive of the desert. 15. My childrens father was a deputy sheriff. 16. I love to go shopping and have lunch. It is one of my favorite hobbies. Love to buy clothes 17. I am gifted at decorating my home and like to help others decorate theres is well. 18. I was born in San Francisco California and have lived in Southern California all of my Life. 18. I was in a talent show in Palm Springs at the Village theater when I was five years old singing and doing acrobats, and I won first place 19. My dad was the personal golf caddy for Bob Hope back in the early 40s 20. I never get stage fright, and love to talk in the microphone even to 1000 people at a time. 21. I love to sing and will even sing A cappella if you asked, I am not a fabulous singer but I can carry a tune. 22. I headed up a prison ministry for five years and went in to the prison and shared with the inmates 23. I have 3 children and 10 grandchildren and they are the light of my life. Of all the things I have done in my life they are my most treasured gifts. 24. I was married for 16 years to my childrens father and then I was single for 25 years, when I was 59, I married my best friends husband after she died and was married to him for 12 glorious years before his death. 25. I am a born again Christian and I have read the Bible from beginning to end in a systematic way 13 times, this is not to mention all the other times that I have opened and read randomly. I consider myself to be a Bible scholar, it is one of the things that I know more about than anything else and one of the things I am most proud of.
