Ginger Snaps... Today I learned, beyond shadow of a doubt, that politicians are politicians and not human beings. It was driven home that absolute power corrupts absolutely. And like Jesus said, He who cannot be trusted with little cannot be trusted with much. Perhaps saying not human beings is harsh. Let me re-phrase. Politicians are liars, hypocrites, and show us the worst humanity has to offer. Now, I know many may be saying, DUH!, however, to have the point truly driven home is different than simply knowing. Yet, it is also freeing to know this, for it reminds us to put our faith in GOD ALONE. And no matter how hard a politician grabs for power, no matter how well they play the game, no matter how well they talk out both sides of their mouth, God will always, ALWAYS, have the final say. You would have no power over me were it not given you by my Father above. God alone is Sovereign. I was also a huge advocate for watching the news and staying up to speed. I have also learned now that The Bible *is* tomorrows newspaper, as it was yesterdays, and todays. I amassed a library of books...history, occult, astrology, strategies of war, laws of power, psychology, etc., only to learn there is ONE BOOK. Oh the precious time I wasted. No more.
