This is an emergency and we need to get the story some attention quickly for Gingers sake. I spoke on the phone with her people mommy Lynn yesterday after this happened and she is in shambles. If we will all work together perhaps we can give her a miracle and help her hold on to Ginger. The below story was written quickly, please let us know if there are any typos. URGENT! Please read, like, and share. While everyone spent the day eating their fill of delicious Thanksgiving dishes, many pets spent their day locked in a separate room from the guests and food during meal time. This is very common, especially if the pet is young and does not yet know the rules. Ginger and Lucy were two such pets. They were sent to the foyer for the meal, primarily because they still have not learned to stay out of peoples plates but their human mommy, Lynn, has a sister that is severely allergic to the little sweet hearts. The foyer seemed like a perfect spot since everyone entered through the kitchen door anyway and the front door stayed locked and the inside door could be latched as well. Unfortunately, Lynns teenage son did not know that they were in there when he used the hidden key to come in the front door to get his football. In true teenager form, he left the front door wide open while he went to his bedroom, he did shut the inner door specifically because he knew the cats could get out but he failed to notice they were already in the foyer. Though his room was only a few feet from the front door, it was open long enough for Ginger and Lucy to get out. Lynns son didnt know the cats had gotten out, so no one knew to look for them. (Anyone with a week stomach may want to skip to the next paragraph) An hour or so passed and people started to leave for home. Lynns cousin, Tom, said his goodbyes and went to his truck. He climbed in and stuck his key in, he cranked the large trucks engine. As soon as it started cranking he heard an extremely high pith squeal. He stopped his attempt to start the pick-up and saw a blur out of the corner of his eye running toward the house. Sure that he knew why his truck had not started up as quickly as normal, he popped the hood and got out to see if he was right. He also had his cell out calling Lynn. He waited on Lynn to answer before lifting the hood. He ask Lynn if her cats were out and she said no. He told her what happened and she decided to check. Of course they were out and Lynn ran out in panic as Tom lifted the hood. As soon as he had looked he told Lynn not to come any closer. There was blood everywhere and the lifeless body of Lucy was stuck in the engine belt. Tom started apologizing and Lynn started balling.....She ask which one....a question Tom could not answer because he could not make out the color for the blood. I thought you saw her running toward the house? Lynn ask..... I thought I did Tom answered. Do you think it may have been the other one? Tom asked trying to hold back his own tears. Probably Lynn answered without attempting to hold her own back. As Tom got one of the other men to help him remove Lynns angel from the trucks engine, Lynn looked for her remaining baby. Lynn found Ginger hiding under her own car and knew then which of her babys had been taken. She had to have her son crawl under the car to get her because she wouldnt come out. When he finally got the baby out, Lynn felt like dying. Ginger looked terrible....covered in blood (much of which was probably Lucys) with several gashes and a badly injured leg. Lynn was terrified that her only other fur-baby would die also. Lynn went straight in and called the veterinarian clinic in town. It was closed for the holiday but the recording gave a phone number for emergencies. Lynn hung up and immediately called the emergency clinic and got directions. It was 35 miles away, she had to hurry. Lynn got her sister to drive her because she had a much faster car and liked to go fast as well. They arrived at the clinic and Lynn ran in with her baby wrapped in a now blood soaked towel. They took her straight back. After the longest hour of her life, the doctor came out to tell Lynn what all was wrong. Ginger sustained several deep cuts that the doctor said was probably from the fan of the truck and her front leg is crushed above the paw. He heavily medicated Ginger and stitched her up to stop the bleeding. Ginger is definitely going to need surgery to fix her leg. The doctor also said he is very worried that she has damage to her stomach that also needs repaired. Lynn was given the option of putting Ginger down if she can not afford the tests and operation(s) that are needed. She needs an additional $345 to get her babys care started. We have raised $180 for this baby so far, she now only needs $165, so very close, yet still so far from the much needed care for her. Lynn has turned to us for help. She is a single mother that is currently out of work. We wish we could do something immediately but we cant unless we can get fellow pet lovers to pitch in. Lynn already lost one of her babies to a horrible fate and desperately wants to hold on to her other baby. We are asking for anyone that will to help this baby. If we can get her story out and get some of the many pet lovers to pitch in, we can save this angel. If you will help this poor baby you will be giving the gift of life to a soul that is innocent of wrong doing and deserves a full life. No amount is too small and any amount helps. If you can afford to assist her in any way click on the link at the bottom. Thanks to all that will....Together we can do this....Everyone please like and share this for Ginger.
