Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, - TopicsExpress

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV) Oh! How we like this verse. We church folk like to use it when we reference financial blessings, spiritual gifts, ministries, or abundant healing. We often fail to understand that this verse is speaking to a reference of your true nature. If your nature is corrupt that is what will be dealt to you. If your nature is of love that is what will be dealt to you. Lets read the whole passage this time... “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (Luke 6:37 NIV) Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV) So that which you truly sow...will be that which you shall truly reap, A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over... Be wise how you lay your tongue on those around you. For they are all created in the likeness of God...and the GoOD measure is what awaits you in due season! Search your heart and know who God really is in your life...and are you truly a reflection of Him, not just in appearance, but deep in your heart? I fall short and condemn no man, judge no man, and live the life of a prisoner and await to be be headed for what I truly stand for, LOVE! Do all things as unto The Lord... And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV) Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8 NIV) “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. (Luke 6:32 NIV)
