Given that I was tagged in a post and my role was discussed in another I thought I would take the time to introduce myself. My name is Ken Broad and Im a member of the Scouts Canada National Social Media team. My current role is that of Community Moderator and I hold Admin rights for this Group. I apologize for not identifying myself earlier, but I personally felt that my role did not make me any different than the other 5,052 members of this group. I use this Group as a place to learn, share and occasionally show off what my Scouting youth (Im an Akela and a Venturer Advisor) whom Im incredibly proud of, are up to. But the real point of this post is not me, but you. One of the tasks I was given was to engage the membership of this Group. So I ask you how do you wish to be engaged? Scouts Canada and this FB Group are blessed with many dynamic Scouters processing a wealth of information ready to share. Scouting and Social Media are fairly new to each other and I am still learning how they can improve each other. So here is what Im challenging you to try - show me the good in your Scouting Program. Photos, stories, videos, newspaper articles... Lets fill the threads with successes! (there are lots already here) In return Ill try to the best of my abilities to help you find answers to any questions that may come up. I only ask that the you recognize that the title doesnt make me any different than any other member of this Group and like you Im just a volunteer like you who works full time. So a response might take a bit longer than youre hoping for sometimes. Anyway Ive taken up far to much time from more interesting things. So who here is ready to show off what you have? GAME ON!
