Giving Affluence... Think about this the next time you go shopping for gas, groceries, clothes, electronics, toys, medicine, whatever... As you shop, give Thanks for all the choices you have to choose from - the amazing selections of styles, colors, flavors, textures, etc. Think of all those involved in providing these items, from the engineers, crafters, or others who designed/prepared them. Then the distributors/deliverymen. Then the stores that sell them and the staff who work in the store. Think of all the people who look at the items and imagine what they can do with them. Give Thanks for the whole process. Give thanks for being able to shop where you want, to have choices about what to buy. There is power in your choice, and power in your dollars. They (the dollars) bless everyone who has come before your purchase to get it to you. Your dollars support families and industry, making you CEO of your local commerce. Paying for goods and services, including your rent or mortgage, utilities, phone, and transportation, are blessings that we take for granted every day. As we move into Thanksgiving week in America, give Thanks for the freedoms you enjoy, most importantly, your ability to choose, from the type of beverage you will drink today to the attitude you will wear on your face as you go out into the day. Give thanks to your vendors - instead of complaining about costs, give thanks that you can buy things today that were once only imagined or make-believe... Give a genuine smile of appreciation to your cashier or checkout clerk. Allow your life to be Blessed by the power of your choice and the power of your ability to receive... Thank you for being such Loving Agents of Grace in Giving!
