Glad the Crossfire team made it to Tegucigalpa, Honduras safely. - TopicsExpress

Glad the Crossfire team made it to Tegucigalpa, Honduras safely. They will be speaking in churches tomorrow. Looking forward to some good reports from Honduras. I have no doubt that Randy, Robert Fields, Mark Graham, Steve Brady, Matt Dickey, Jonathan Whitson, Willie Battle, Mike Taber, Jeff Trotter and Chris Spaulding will see much fruit before the week is over. I miss you guys but I will be back strong again sooner than later. Prayers and rehab are working! :)) Closer to home, earlier today I was able to complete making all of the follow up calls from our 21st Annual ACC All Star game held on April 12th. It takes time to do it right, you want to be sensitive to every individual when talking to them by phone. Today was much like the previous days. I was encouraged when listening to what each person shared on the other end. I talked with all ages from 9 to 58 today. I had some wonderful conversations. I do want to share two of them with you although I would love to share all of them. I go to talk to a mom whose 9 year old son made a decision for Christ during the half time. She let me know that before he went to the game he was not interested in going to church, always griping about having to go. She and her husband were torn about the situation, praying for Gods conviction to come to their boy. When he got home from the game he told his parents he made a decision for the Lord. He then apologized for being so disrespectful towards them regarding church. She told me that ever since the game he hasnt missed church or complained about going. And he recently joined a Bible Club at school where he is with other believers, fellow students reading the Word. Strong report from a happy mom! :)) The second call I want to share with you was with a woman age 58. Amazing how God works. I think you will enjoy reading this as much as I did hearing it on the phone. She let me know that she had been having such a hard week, furthermore she told me that she had been suffering physically since March. She had beaten cancer twice and was now dealing with being a diabetic. She has been unable to rest, relax, always hurting. This morning she told me she got up and while in physical pain she asked God for some relief. She asked the Lord to please give her a good day, she needed to be encouraged. Then she said, not only did God take all of my pain away today, the next thing I know a minister calls me by phone. She said, What are the odds that out of all the people you have been making follow up calls to you happened to call me today? I asked God to encourage me, he not only took my pain away for today but had you, the preacher call me, encourage me then pray with me. The whole time she spoke about the timing of my call she was crying. I couldnt help but cry myself. Before I hung up she said, Jamie, if you get bored and have nothing to do, please call me and check on me. I would love to hear from you anytime. To put everything into perspective, the 58 year old lady I just mentioned above was almost the last person I had called since April 14th. I could have called her the very first day on April 14th when I began but the way it worked out I called her today. Not interested in trying to make this sound like I am super spiritual and I am not trying to sound dramatic, I am only communicating the facts to demonstrate Gods sovereignty, how He is over all and always in control. I had no clue about who this lady was, plus I did not plan out my calls, meaning I will call this one and or that one. I simply pulled the papers and called them as I came to them. Little 9 year old makes a decision for Christ and a 58 year old woman makes one. Both equally important and both touched by the hand of God. And for the record, I am not trying to toot my horn because I called some people today. All I am trying to do is to let you guys know how your prayers are working. When you pray for Crossfire things happen. Each one of you were just as much a part of the calls today as I was being the one who made them. Crossfire cannot do this alone nor can you. The Body of Christ needs one another!
