Glad to be at Middle College High School today. Ive seen so many lost causes turned into redeeming stories from schools like this, that it is impossible to believe in such a thing as one size fits all education. Successful schools, IMO, have one thing a few things in common, and it isnt the standards or the core that they try to force into the students minds. It is: 1. Good teachers who care about their students and treat them as individuals, 2. Good administrators that respect their teachers ability and autonomy, 3. Students that trust teachers and teachers that trust administrators as a result of 1 & 2 regardless of the circumstances.
