Glad to share this video with you as one of our interpreting works. In it, our Deaf freelancer is engaged to do the flight safety video for several times since July 2013. DO YOU KNOW? Deaf can become interpreters, too. Deaf interpreters provide interpreting, translation, and transliteration services in their proficient Sign Languages and other visual and tactual communication forms used by individuals who are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and Deaf-Blind. Currently, Deaf Interpreters work most often in tandem with Hearing interpreters. The Deaf-Hearing interpreter team ensures that the spoken language message reaches the Deaf consumer in a language or communication form that he or she can understand, and that the Deaf consumer’s message is conveyed successfully in the spoken language. In Singapore, there are several Deaf Interpreters. ExtraOrdinary Horizons has its training program to grow its team of interpreters (including note-takers).
