Glory be to the almighty God who has kept us alive inspite of our short comings. By 5:00 am; on the15/03/2004; me and my friend were already on the road in order escape the chaotic traffic that will keep you several hours without any movement. Just about 1km to the National stadium, the traffic have started building up. By this time! One of us then stated that it might be that a political party was organising a rally or a christian crusade. Its then that another person stated that its a recruitment exercise being organised by the Nigerian Immigration Service. To butress his point he told us that hes one of those shortlisted and that- where hes heading to. Later in the day, its reported that about 7 persons have lost their lives; while several others were wounded as a result of stampede at the National stadium venue of the NIS recruitment exercise. Let me use this opportunity to express my sympathy to the families of those that lost their lives and also to those that were wounded. Then in the afternoon of 19/03/2014; after the Fed Executive Council meeting, the Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku made public the outcome of the days meeting. One of which was compensating the victims and the bereaved families of the ill fated NIS recruitment exercise. Every injured person should be given an automatic employment; while each family of the dead ones would be given three employment slots. Thats great. Trust Nigerians, by the morning of 20/03/2004; both the National hospital and the Fed. Secretariat were flooded by people with different styles of bandages claiming to be among the injured. If the have gone for costume parade, the judges would find it dificult picking a winner. Its that day that I believed that make up artists are now being recruited in hospitals in order to give a professional design and touch for any one requesting a fake medical report. From this their shameful behaviour, youll understand that some individuals that had given testimonies that theyre neither injured nor dead during the exercise have to apply for the withdrawal of their testimonies and asked God to give them any physical injury to help them secure the job. Even their family members who were celebratingbefore suddenly became withdrawn because the opportunity of being lifted out of poverty, unemployment and the attendnt shame was missed. Dont you see, its gotten to the point where for a families status to change blood must be sacrifised. Oh my God. I heard so many stories that took place in the past. If theres any plague in a family or town human beings were sacrificed in order to appease the gods. That was then. Thats because theyre operating under a curse. Now do we still need to sacrifice our blood in order to regain our freedom, The answer is, No. Why? In Hebrews 10:12: But this man (Jesus) after he had offered one sacrifice for sin forever sat down on the right hand of God. Praise the Lord. Only one sacrifice was needed which had been carried out and perfecly well on our behalf by Jesus. Thats why Apostle Paul writing in the book of Galatians 3 :13; said: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written cursed is every one hung on a tree. Were o longer operating under the influence of any cusre. Preparations for next years general elections will soon be in top gear; and politicians would be looking for any form of sacrifice in order to retain or advance their political forunes. You dont need to be afraid if youre a member of Jesus faily because our lives are hidden in Christ and in God. If youve not given your life to Christ why not do it now and youll start enjoying all exclusive and maximum security. I hope youll b in your local church tomorrow where youll renew your covenant with the almighty God. Your blood will not be shared for anybodys political gain in Jesus name. For your family to be freed from any satanic bondage, your blood will not be shared in Jesus name. Youll not die without enjoying the glory of serving God in Jesus. Anywhere theyve taken your name to for any form of evil purpose God will disappoint them in Jesus name. That pit which theyve dug for you to fall in, not only that youll jump and pass but they will be the the ones to fall into it without any remedy in Jesus name. See you in the church tomorrow.
