"God Created Daddies" By: Jodi Rae Ingstad aka: "The Blonde on the Prairie" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ God created humans as part of a deliberate seven day span. It comes as no coincidence that He chose the first to be a man. Some of you reading this just won’t believe a word – Because the Dad that created you was nothing but a turd. Forgive my language harshness as I know it’s just not kind. But something deep inside me says it was already on your mind. Maybe your Dad drank too much or maybe he wasn’t around. Maybe he beat your Mother or was out often on the town. Perhaps your Dad he worked too much and just could not find the time- He was never at your baseball game and could never spare a dime. Maybe he cursed his sentences instead of understanding. Maybe you got zero praise because he was nothing but demanding. Some of you have Daddies who up and left your family. To marry a younger blonde who goes by the name of “Bambi.” He never said “Goodnight,” “I love you,” or “I’m proud.” It wouldn’t surprise me if you wished him away for being that big, black cloud. But God created humans as part of a deliberate seven day span. It comes as no coincidence that He chose the first to be a man. Intelligent design, to me, just cannot be debated. Even your dad you don’t like so much was perfectly created! Be careful not to judge the soul –the one who probably didn’t know- What to do with your tiny life and how to let you grow. Noah, Lot and Abraham, Isaac, Jacob too. All these men of relevance struggled as fathers too! God created your Dad in His most omnipotent image. So you could come along to be part of a sacred lineage. All the bad your Dad has done will not go forgotten. He’s protected just like you are by a Son who was begotten. God created humans as part of a deliberate seven day span. It comes as no coincidence that He chose the first to be a man. I offered you scenarios of situations gross and bad. But no matter what it’s important that you give honor to your Dad. For once upon a time when his story just began. Your Dad was in search of his Dad to be a loving man. He searched for reassurance, safety and to be loved. He wished for a Dad who threw the ball into his baseball glove. Maybe your Dad had a Dad as awful as could be. And maybe the Dad of his Dad was even worse than that, you see? Now YOU’RE a Dad and you have a chance to break the cycle free. Look to God entirely to fix your family tree. This is the weekend we honor all Daddies –the good as well as bad. There must be one good memory that doesn’t make you sad. “Honor thy Father and Mother” the commandment clearly states. “So you can live a long life,” and not one filled with hate. God created humans over a deliberate seven day span. It comes as no coincidence that He chose the first to be a man. Happy Father’s Day to you if you’re blessed to have your own. If you’ve not forgiven your father-please quickly find your way home. Tell him you’d like him to teach you what he never took time to say. Tell him that you forgive him for the days he acted that way. Tell yourself that you’re worthy to be the greatest Dad. For intelligent design tells me that you’re created a perfect lad. ‘Cuz God created humans and He chose the first to be a man –so you could have a Daddy. Happy Father’s Day 2013
