God, I hate to harp...no...check that...I really dont mind it. ;) So those of you with WAY more education than me, please explain this epidemic? We have workers...Nationwide...demanding more pay. Great! We all want to get ahead. Assume we proceed. What does that do to the price of Happy Meal? What happens to the slim 2%-3% operating margins of these establishments? But the owners are RICH? No!! The founder maybe, but the average Franchise Owner makes a salary comparable to any other hard-working, college educated, wage earner in the country. Enough with the woe is me syndrome rampant in the country. You want MORE! EARN more. Work a second or third job. Thats what I did at that income level, and its what others do! DONT have a family if you are still at that level. How come it is the Nations problem....to care for kids born to ill-prepared parents? That is what this REALLY boils down to...not the innocent hard-working 18 year old... but, BECAUSE its an INNOCENT baby! OK I get that!!!! BUT, how are we going to STOP people, that cant afford kids from having them? This is the toughest question we face. If I say Too-Bad... I am somehow a mean nasty Republican? Is there NO personal responsibility left? If you steal a car you pay. If you get a DUI, you pay. If you invest in a scam you pay. If you have a child before you can afford one...EVERYONE else pays because its an innocent baby. Well I agree,it is, but then those of you who seem to think we all should pay for it...tell me...how are you going to solve the irresponsibility problem...because all I hear is how you are going to create NEW problems...under the guise of helping the problem YOU wont acknowledge!!!!!!!!! WHY is this stuff so complicated? It was my understanding...America offered me the chance to do anything I wanted...achieve anything I worked for...I never heard anything about making sure EVERYONE else achieved the same, regardless of work ethic or education(neither of which...I will add...were guarantys for success) The BIGGEST question Ive been asking myself lately. Where did the 50% of voters that feel this way, get their education and/or convictions and values. I kinda figured we all learned the same stuff??????
