God gives us circumstances as an opportunity to glorify Him. When we glorify Him we come to know Him in a deeper way. Gods glory is a fact. It is not dependent on us or our circumstances. His glory was and is and is to come. Being a vessel, used by God to show His glory, is God inviting His child to know an aspect of Him. The circumstances of a believers life is a conduit for His glory to shine. Whether in prison or free, hungry or filled, married or single, jobless or working, homeless or homeowner, barren or a full quiver, grieving or celebrating life, you name the circumstance and God will bring His glory, because His glory is! Too many times our focus gets lost on the circumstance. We should be asking God to allow His glory to be seen and not to change the circumstance. It is so hard to pray that when the heart is hurting. We just want the pain to stop. Stopping the pain is only temporary and God knows that. His glory is eternal and the reward of seeking Him lasts forever. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 Be blessed!
