God is good and Hes always on time. It never fails to amaze me how when I hold on to a situation, and hold on and hold on thinking I can control the outcome apart from him, my best efforts end up barren and my best ideas are over complicated, I get myself all worked up in a tizz and super unmanageable and it isnt until I just surrender it all and make a choice to give it to God He just swoops in and fixes everything simply, and flawlessly with next to no effort on my part aside from the initial surrender. Its really awe inspiring to watch how God pulls all the details together so perfectly, that you have to give Him all the glory because its obvious that things could only go that smoothly with Him involved. Im learning that the act of surrender is a skill that I should practice in all areas of my life. Not just a tool in my recovery/emergency spirituality tool box. I have as much serenity as I have surrender. Controlling anything but myself is an illusion. And often when Im attempting to control circumstances I struggle because Im actually working against either Gods will or Gods timing.
