God of the Impossible (Isaiah 40:10-20) - Part 6 The truth is.... Each of us has the potential to grow and become very powerful Children of God who walk in favor with God and get amazing results when we pray! This is why Satan does not want us to be in right - relationship with God and engage in the activities that will help us spiritually mature in the knowledge and application of God’s Word. In order for you to understand the spiritual power and advantages God makes available to His children - those who choose to love Him, commit their lives to Him, serve Him and trust Him completely - you need to first learn more about the history of the enemy of your soul and destiny. The history will open your eyes and help you recognize Satan’s deceptions and passionate attempts to capture your attention through the dark and magical arts and philosophies of man. Lucifer (once the Arc Angel and worship leader in heaven) was stripped of his glory and sentenced to slither on earth in the form of a serpent. (Isaiah 14:12-17) What a massive demotion before all creation! Lucifer’s name was even changed after he was thrown out of heaven; he became referred to as Satan to denote his humiliating expulsion and confinement to have influence on the earth. He was eternally banished from the holy presence and favor of God. The Bible also tells us that Satan is a “wanna be” lion; he roams the earth and acts as if he is a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can deceive (convince to believe his act) and swallow up in his deceptions. His roars (in forms of witchcraft through intimidation, domination and manipulation; spells, curses, evil and ear-tickling false predictions, fear, etc.) may be impressive and compelling, but understand that his bottom line aim is to convince you to turn away from God - your Creator and the author of your salvation. Any and everything that draws you away from God is not of God. Anything that diminishes your hope, trust and faith in God is of the devil. You may have heard the old saying, “Misery loves company...” Well, Satan (who used to be called Lucifer) wants to enlist you in groveling with him and his band of fallen angels (now referred to as demons, devils, evil spirits, seducing spirits, spirit guides and influences, etc.) - in a spiritual state of eternal separation from the holy presence and favor of God - your Creator and heavenly Father. That’s right... Satan wants you to sign up with his rebel forces by consulting with his practitioners and agents of darkness or engaging in the practices and works of darkness (Isaiah 14: 17). Plainly and clearly... YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS! Luke 16:13 not only refers to money... It refers to everything or any human, mystical, spiritual or religious entity and doctrine that is in opposition or competition with Jehovah God. Folks, YOU CANNOT SUCCESSFULLY SERVE TWO MASTERS. You will only spend eternity with ONE OF THEM. Where would you like to spend your eternity? Is the master or source of help you’re engaging going to get you there? -Jennifer T.
